I came across this news post on b.root-servers.org that they're researching the activation of TLS on their root server. It's been running like that since 2023.
I wonder why not more root servers have this... Load issue?
Finde das gar nicht so praktisch, dass es jetzt schon drei europäische Standorte bei #Netcup gibt. Vorher war die Wahrscheinlichkeit bei 50% für D, jetzt nur noch bei 33,3%. Da muss ich dann schon drüber nachdenken, ob ich die 2,50 Euro extra pro Monat investiere, um sicher in D zu sein.

A great effort on tracking #DNS locality when it comes to the name resolution on the B #rootserver. The research concludes that 78% route to the regionally closest replicate of the root server. Something, I would not have expected due to the complexity of modern #peering. This is confirmed by an additional cluster where DNS requests travel cross-Atlantic.

Habe hier einen Proxmox Server den ich als Jump Host für meine hinter einer PFSense VM ( auf dem Proxmox ) liegenden Container/VMs nutzen möchte.
Also SSH zu Proxmox Server => SSH zu Container/VMs
Proxmox Server und PFSense und Container/VM liegen im selben LAN.
Alles was auf dem Proxmox Server ankommt wird bis auf 22 und ProxmoxPort an die PFSense weiter geleitet.
