Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten, Daten zwischen #Android und #Linux auszutauschen. Die bekanntesten sind vermutlich #KDE #Connect/#GSConnect und #Warpinator. Beide setzen voraus, dass eine App auf beiden Geräten installiert ist. Bei KDE Plasma ist Connect bereits integriert. Im Fall von Warpinator muss die App auf beiden Geräten installiert werden.

When you want to export a video from an #iPad, transferring to a far more reasonable filesystem over on a #linux laptop, what app do you use to do that? No I don't want to use AirDrop, as I have only one Mac device (and never want another).
The Files app in iPad OS can connect to an SMB server, but only in read-only mode. The SMB server absolutely supports read-write, when other kinds of client connect. This is mildly infuriating, as this "one-way street" behaviour in iPadOS is clearly a walled-garden sort of limitation.
I found a #Warpinator-compatible app for #iPadOS, but it just transfers one file at a time. This is the best I could come up with. Alas, there is also no #syncthing for iPadOS. 🤷
Note: Syncthing would be my preferred way (I use it to sync between Android <-> Linux as my goto network file sync solution).

I have been using LocalSend for sending files between Linux Mint and GrapheneOS. Was a bit unreliable and slow.
Then I tried out Warpinator (which is included in Linux Mint), and it's FAST! Like 2x to 2.5x faster. Also has been very reliable. Can download the android version on F-Droid.
Highly recommend it if you're looking for a similar solution.

Also #KDEConnect ist schon was feines und macht #Warpinator schon überflüssig. Beides ist tolle Software und #FOSS. Vorteil von Warpinator ist, man schaltet es ein, überträgt die Daten, schaltet aus. Spart Strom.
KDEConnect ist dauerhaft aktiv und verbraucht Strom. Vorteil hier: Vieeel mächtiger und mehr Möglichkeiten.

I have been painting these acrylic pictures since 8 pm until now - will be online this weekend.
I have always been someone that moves #files with usb or with a #cable. It has always just felt easy and reliable. I was having some issues moving my #music library from my laptop to my phone (over cable). I never really had issues, but this time it was going to sleep. I decided to try #warpinator. It worked flawlessly. Can't believe I slept on it before.

@sashapgt I too use #syncthing. It's powerful and sophisticated, but takes time to understand. Best for geeks only.
I would sooner recommend #Warpinator for non-geeks.

@sawyerp I know #syncthing well, and praise it for its firewall-punching goodness, speed, and other industrial-strength features.
Alas, it has a steep learning curve. I would say syncthing is for geeks only.
I actually tried to set up syncthing between myself and a few other monastics in the past, but it was eventually a fail.
#Warpinator is more realistic, as it's simpler. It only transfers one file at a time, and you have to be in the same LAN, but it's tough to beat its simplicity.
