This picture was taken from far away, so it's not the best. You can see an adult wood duck floating in the scummy pond water, surrounded by five baby wood ducks. This is kind of a small number of babies for a wood duck mama, so some may have already succumbed to predators.

This is a baby cardinal, probably just fledged and waiting in a bush for mama to come back with a meal for it. You can tell it's a baby because it has a black beak. An adult's beak is red.

This is a tiny tailed blue butterfly, nectaring on a tiny white clover flower. The butterfly's underside is grayish blue with navy dots and 2 orange spots.

This is side of a blue jay that you don't usually see, in other words, the backside. You can see its upper back is medium blue and its wings are a different blue with black horizontal lines, as is its tail.
