#1 error #science made was #Kelvin extrapolating #entropy from a closed system like a water tank to an open system like the #universe.
#Time isn't linear, as #Bergson pointed out, and nor is the lifespan of the universe finite.
The #arrowoftime isn't fading away, it's gradually curling upon itself to become a circle; the #heatdeath of the Universe isn't its end, it's the cool moment before it begins.
When we understand what #darkmatter is, the laws of #thermodynamics will be thrown out.

Oh boy, languages. Didn’t I say a while ago that I should figure this out? Nerissa speaks at least five languages at the start of the story, and she uses English, Latin, French, and a little Arabic and Cantonese. She learns a couple more as she goes.

As for Meri, let’s just say that if you lived for thousands of years, you’d probably pick up a few.

Some might be surprised that people don’t need to spend money for food and other basic needs on the Moon. They decided that it doesn’t make sense to have poor, hungry, or homeless people, especially in a place with a limited amount of space. Post-scarcity is the only ethical way to make offworld cities work. What would they do otherwise, make them sleep outdoors?

The most useful skill Nerissa has is in languages. In her POV, she always picks out things like accents and how speech sounds. Her skill is that she's a polyglot who can usually learn a language up to conversational level in around a week or two. Very useful, considering she spends all her time travelling.

Also, I haven't made a list of the languages she speaks. I really should do that.
