: »Kurioses Souvenir«

Closing the loop, one cushion at a time. ♻️🐑

We believe comfort shouldn’t come at the Earth's expense. That’s why our new seat cushions are crafted from 100% recycled wool. By giving high-quality discarded textiles a second life, we reduce waste, save water, and lower carbon emissions compared to producing new wool.

Repaired a chair I made for my brother a year or so ago from some reclaimed floor boards this evening. Let's hope it doesn't fall apart again... #woodworking #maker #craft #craftsmanship #diy

Strength isn't just what you can lift. It's what you can overcome, what you can create, and the grace you carry through it all. Still braiding resilience, one lesson at a time. 💪🏾🎀

When I emphasize the slowness of my work process, I don't mean that I rest on my laurels and do nothing... /let's say it like that in English... The process is ongoing all the time; sawing the wooden bases, sanding, finishing the edges, priming with gesso, attaching the hanger and only then do we get to the actual painting. In this picture, that round birch plywood has been sanded and is waiting for the first layer of gesso to dry. I usually apply 2-3 coats of primer depending on the situation. Of course, you can do other work while it's drying... ✌️☺️🥰

A round birch plywood panel lying on a work surface, freshly sanded and waiting for the first layer of gesso to dry. The edges are smooth, and the surface shows the natural grain of the wood. The image captures a quiet moment in the slow, handcrafted painting process before the actual painting begins.
