@hobbyblogging Ich finde bei #fhem mangelt es weniger an der Optik. Von einer #Automatisierung erwarte ich auch nicht das Interface zu sehen, soll ja schließlich alles automatisch passieren.
Und wenn man #Eyecandy will, dann gibt's andere Styles, ftui und Floorplan.

In der Automatisierung ist FHEM auch spitze. Es ist unglaublich, was das alles kann.

Aber was *absolut* grottig ist, ist die #discoverability. Schau dir mal die Doku von doif an. Unglaublich mächtiges Tool, aber für mich als Dipl. Inf. (FH) mit 30 Jahren Erfahrung total unverständlich. Ich mag #RTFM, aber auch nach Lektüre der Doku bekomme ich vieles immer noch nicht hin.

Dann gibt's halt auch echt *viel* Doku die kein Mensch lesen kann. Wenn du nicht *weißt* daß es ein bestimmtes Feature gibt *und* wie es heißt, dann hilft nur das Forum.

Leider glaube ich nicht, daß man hier was ändern kann. FHEMs Schicksal wird es sein, nur von FHEM-spezial-Nerds verwendet zu werden. Leider.

PS: I've sent letters to journals that had policies not to publish them, but without saying so anywhere. Once I sent a letter to a new journal that had never received or published one and needed time to think about it. Right now #SocialMedia takes up this slack and does a pretty good job. But posting letters as preprints would give authors more space, prevent even published letters from languishing behind #paywalls, and offer better opportunities for #PIDs, #metadata, and #discoverability.

Small "streamability" / "content creator friendly" game design idea:

If your game has an RNG seed that is used at the beginning, expose it the player. Allow alphanumeric input, and hash it. YouTubers frequently like doing things like "the my seed challenge where the seed is my youtube user name" and such.

Consider making a "three little words" style seed auto generator, so they can giggle as they hit random. It's very small, but it will likely generate some content time.

Gisteren heb ik de stream zitten kijken over de discovery service voor fediverse accounts waar het mastodon project aan werkt.

Zodra er echt een release is, wil ik kijken of we dit specifiek voor het Nederlandstalig deel van de fediverse kunnen inrichten.

Een betere vindbaarheid van elkaar is echt nodig om de fediverse voor meer mensen toegankelijk te maken.

@antonio @acambronero totalmente de acuerdo. Cuando #Mastodon tenga un sistema de #OnBoarding y de #Discoverability que permita que cualquier persona se integre, participe, interactúe, compro. Falta mucho para eso. No me gusta la idea de una red social elitista que excluya por la barrera del conocimiento tecnológico. Eso es de finales de los 90.
