EDIT: There has been considerable gnashing of teeth on if presenting AI UI elements which have not linked to any AI backend yet, should be talked about as enabled/disabled indipedent of the AI backend service being enabled/disabled. I've updated my language to hidden. See thread for full details.

Gotta say... I'm torn...very torn…  Between using a #fountainpen for my #writing and using my #eInk device.

The #fountainpen feels like more of a hobby, but is a lot of fun to write with.

The #eInk device lets me get down to business, stay more organized, and is more flexible with all the templates that are available (or I can make for myself easily).

It's a real toss up.

How did Pine64 drive the E-ink display in their PineNote? They used a Rockchip SoC which has a dedicated E-ink interface.

They documented the reverse engineering of the "EBC" peripheral but that doesn't really help anyone who is using any other SoC.
