The Ecuadoran state conceives of peace as submitting to extractivist interests, its modernist perception of development & progress. This conflicts ontologically with that of the Shuar community, with whom the authors carried out community-led participatory research.
The authors highlight the use of the concept of cuerpo-territorio for challenging dominant conceptions of peace. The violation of the land is a violation of the bodily integrity of our own bodies

Have just learned that feminist writer Susan Griffin died at the end of last month. I read a couple of her early books (considering rape, pornography and eros) for my women's studies class, but it didn't register with me then that she was a poet - one of the first to be published by Alta's Shameless Hussy Press - and an early ecofeminist. Her (1978!!!) book "Woman and Nature" sounds amazing.

I'm a 🦵🏼 white 🇪🇺 European :nonbinary_flag: queer nonbinary male who's naive enough to think he can make the world a better place, yet cynical enough to joke about it.
I'm increasingly convinced that relentless activism and bottom-up change is the only way up for this wretched society. I'm mostly invested in climate activism (purely theoretically, of course), but I realize much more is needed.
In the process of turning from ally to accomplice.
I'm deeply into music, including but not limited to stoner doom, queercore, psychedelic cumbia, 70's funk, unorthodox black metal, hardcore punk and its offspring (NOT The Offspring), jazz (the weird kind), ambient, and anything with microtones. Yeah. This is why I dread the question "what music do you like?"
Oh yeah, I'm also a philosophy PhD in two deep deep rabbit holes: posthumanist environmentalism and eroticism/intimacy/nonmonogamy. Trying to make one tunnel system out of them.
