INITIATIVE: Ecosia and Qwant have launched the European Search Perspective (EUSP) to build an independent European search index.
The goal: strengthening digital sovereignty and providing a transparent, privacy-focused foundation for future technologies, including AI. How could an independent search index reshape the European tech landscape and user experience?

だとしても、個人・企業だれでも Web サイト・ページを公開でき、インターネット環境とブラウザがあればそこにだれでもアクセスできる、という場所として Web という場所は残っていてほしいなあ。。そこが自分のようなインターネット老人会員みたいな人と AI ボットしかいない場所だとしても。
これまでよりも人間が Web ページを直接見なくなるのだとして、それはそこに居る人間の数が減るという意味では Web にとって良いことではないのかもしれないけど、
#Google の検索結果に表示されなければ Web 上に存在しないのと同義、みたいなこれまでの状況もそれはそれで歪（いびつ）な気がしていた。
そういう Google みたいな検索エンジンが Web のゲートキーパーみたいな存在として力を持ちすぎてることに対して、たとえば #Ecosia と #Qwant が共同で立ち上げた #EUSP とかがあるんだと思うし、これはこれで頑張って欲しいと思うけど

こういう正面からの対抗策よりも AI が検索エンジンというものをぶっ壊ーす！というほうが先にきてしまうのかもしれないとも思う。
