Martin Luther, early Lutheran theologian, says Christians should give more to the poor than churches. This would shine more brightly than all the churches of stone or wood. This is God’s commandment.

Do we want to do the opposite today? Say that doing real service to God in stone will inspire the poor to clean up their act and pull up selves by their bootstraps?

How can you do a real stream of good to the poor?
