Consent (and Why It's Hot)

Consent and trust is a vital part of any healthy relationship. Hypnosis, realistically, cannot take effect without the subject's consent, as hypnotism can't force you to do something your mind does not allow, such as murder, or activities with someone you do not trust.

While many a hypnoartist take liberties (or simply lean more towards drawing mind control), many also find the idea of hypnosis being used by loving couples to be tantalizing.

The idea of an eager subject, or even multiple willing subs, gives a feeling of power to the artist and/or viewer. Not just power, but power over subjects that trust them, creating a romantic yet kinky feeling that appeals to many people.

To others, being a willing subject is enticing, giving a feeling of safety to them that provides comfort.

Meek and Mesmerized

Whether they are hiding a fiercer side or are actually as sheepish as they appear, the socially awkward are a very common subject for hypnotism. Some stammer, some are terse, some are completely mute, and what being hypnotized brings out in them may vary. Some will be drawn as if they were caught off-guard, but many are drawn enjoying it, as if it was some kind of relief from anxiety, or it just feels natural to them.

Mouthless Subs

While the thought of having no mouth and needing to scream is horrifying, drawing a hypnotized sub without a mouth yields rather enticing results. Whether it's part of the character design or just a minimal style for the expression, a lack of a mouth leaves the viewer's mind to fill in the blanks on what the character is feeling, and leaves only the eyes for the artist to work with, challenging their ability to draw expressions. A lack of mouth also implies a quiet, passive sub, even if the character isn't one.

So Sure, So Submissive

Whether they are actually strong-willed, or just aloof, hardened, or haughty enough to appear that way, these kinds of subs are very satisfying to put under. The reasons why may vary, perhaps they have a softer side the artist wants to show, or have an ego that needs breaking, or perhaps they're drawn in a scenario where they willingly let it happen, to finally get a break from acting "fancy" or "cool" all the time.

The Long Face

The Long Face is an expression where a character's mouth is drooped near the bottom of their face, with the eyes (and nose if you draw them) often being farther up, giving the impression that the character is looking up. This face has a dreary look to it, and can convey many emotions, such as despair, boredom, sleepiness, or even a sheepish smile. If the character is looking upward, their eyes would usually slant slightly up.

Stumbled upon it one day in #Ubuntu's app store's “New and Updated” section. 'Twas actually the #Flatpak version, which doesn't really have the best #images and #description, as it's #unofficial, so I wasn't drawn to it at first, but just kept in my #mind. A few days later, #BraveBrowser started having a lot of #issues (it was my bad, actually, but anyway) and I switched to #MicrosoftEdge for a while. A little time after, I found out about some ugly things M$ does through its #browser, and looked for an #alternative. #Browsers like #Brave were already too #basic for me, after using #Edge, and thus, when I saw #Vivaldi as a powerful alternative, I didn't hesitate a moment and tried it.

That's the most #important part of the story, but… there's a second #volume: At first, I was like a #crazy #chicken in front of a pot full of #earthworms, so… I obviously broke the browser in just one, two days. In the meanwhile, I also managed to repair Brave, and I was thinking of leaving V, considering it too #buggy. But luckily, I decided to give it one more chance, this time being more #cautious about #messing up with #settings… and here I am!
