🎵 Genuine question, would people be interested in a moogle-themed xenogender/xenopronouns? I know this is outside the realm of anything else I've ever posted online, but it feels odd that there doesn't seem to be any (at least that I can tell, though I admit I'm still new at researching all of this).

I was thinking about #neopronouns this morning. I've never seen one that really spoke to me, but I was considering what my criteria would be to choose one:

1) Pronunciation intuitive from spelling.

2) Not an existing English noun, or word in common use.

3) One syllable.

4) Not a gendered pronoun in another language.

Skimming some lists of neopronouns with these in mind, I feel like criterion 1 is the single hardest one to meet. (Also, wondering if any fail both 2 and 4 now.)

Can this be boosted around as i would like to find more on fedi and im a bit lonely here (and federated servers posts on tusky doesn't always bring me everything)

You know what really grinds my gears? When trans people turn around on nonbinary people, people with neopronouns, and people with "misaligned" pronouns, and try to tell them what should or shouldn't be the right pronouns.

Like, really, buckaroo. You don't want to explain to cis people why your genitals at birth don't match what they think you should be. And we don't want to explain why the words we tell you are right for us are more valid than those that you think we should use.

You'll get paid USD$15 for the interview. Filling out the form is just expressing interest, you can still decline the interview. They're also asking if you have a friend or "buddy" they can interview, as in they'll be asking questions about you I presume. You must be fluent in English.

Looks like the person conducting the study is a "cool" linguist who's done other neat studies that someone goes on to link to in the thread I've linked above. :3

I technically use neopronouns, so I might fill out the form to express interest, though I'm uncertain who I would reference as a "buddy" for them to interview too. But that might not be necessary.
