sed "s/\(color2*=*\).*$/\1\ = '`echo $color4`',/" conky.conf
nur das allererste key/value paar color2=WERT findet und Wert durch was neues ersetzt und dann aufhört und nicht alle $color2 funde ebenfalls ersetzt?
bitte aufmerksam lesen. /g oder 1,s/ sind nicht die lösungen ;-)

@kubikpixel I don't use terminal themes at all. I use #pywal and my i3/terminal themes change every time when I'm changing wallpaper. Then the terminal takes color scheme from wallpaper via pywal 😎
