After yesterday’s blizzard, today in #Rīga we have a calm and sunny #winter day. It looks like most people decided to stay at home — the streets were almost empty. Bird feeders also had almost no visitors — only a couple of small birds were flying around them.

The image shows three buildings in Riga, Latvia known as The Three Brothers. It is the oldest residential building complex in Riga. The trio was built between the 15th and 17th centuries. To the right stands the White Brother, the oldest, dating to the late 15th century. It features a white facade with characteristic crow-stepped gables, Gothic niches, and early Renaissance details. The Middle Brother was built in 1646, it has a pale yellow exterior in the style of Dutch Mannerism. Above the entrance is the Latin inscription “Soli Deo gloria!” ("Glory to God alone!"). To the left is the Green Brother, the narrowest and youngest, dating from the late 17th century. This green Baroque building features a decorative mask on its facade meant to ward off evil spirits.

#riga #latvia, I shot expired in 2006 Kodak Gold 200 in Riga centre, August 2025. I believe, August - September is the most beautiful season there. Of cause, I missing my ❤️ Riga so much since I left it 2 years ago. Hope, one day I will rejoin it.
It would be better to shoot the film at ISO 100, but I shot it at stock speed.

Nach langen zwei Wochen in und in der Nähe von #Riga auf Stell-/Campingplätzen, geht es heute endlich wieder in die Natur. Ein letzter #BlickAusDemCamper von hier.

Ein Blick durch ein Fenster, der einen schneidenden Landschaftsbildschirm mit einem gefrorenen Wassersee in der Grundnähere zeigt. Hintergrund sind industrielle Gebäude unter einem bewölkten Himmel. Der Fensterrahmen ist dunkel und hat eine Türklinke am unteren Ende. Links steht ein leines Bäumchen mit trockenen Ästen und einem Holzbestand. I took a full week off from my regular job and from computers and came to Riga, Latvia.
