Although these tools can improve educational access and quality in rural contexts, their implementation must recognize and respect the needs of rural communities. Educational policy, especially CONPES 3988, proposes the appropriation of these technologies to promote development, but it is key to problematize to what extent this really responds to local needs or reinforces an urban vision of progress.
