The area behind that is planted up with various wild plants, such as Blue alkanet, Sedge, Comfrey and other wildflowers. The large purple flowering plant in the background is self-seeded Lythrum salicaria (Purple loosestrife), I think. The bees adore it. To the left is a very large spruce tree. Along the back runs a beech hedge.

Earlier in the spring I noticed two clumps of self-seeded Woodland Forget-me-nots (Myosotis sylvatica) in different parts of the garden.
They arrived on the wind and decided to stay. They have both chosen very good spots, where they fit in well with neighbouring plants.
I love weeds. They are an integral part of my planting.
