GAME WORKERS OF IWGB STATEMENT IN
RESPONSE TO ROCKSTAR

Rockstar's latest statement is littered with falsehoods and
disinformation - they have given multiple, conflicting reasons
to explain why the workers were fired, as if attempting to
reverse engineer a rationale for the dismissals.

Once again, they have chosen to mischaracterise workers
speaking about their working conditions in a private forum as
“leaking information”. It is hard to understand this statement
as anything but a desperate attempt to deflect from the global
scrutiny they have come under over the last month.

From the UK Prime Minister in the House of Commons, to the
game developers across the world erupting in protest - all
eyes are on Rockstar and their lawless attack on the people
who make them their billions.

For example, Israel's surveillance of Palestinians provides
the "ground-tested" research that allows for
the Zionist state to maintain a uniquely
competitive edge in tech; the majority of
Israeli tech leaders emerge from Unit 8200
of the Israeli Occupation Forces, a highly
selective, tech-focused military colonial unit
whose participants have gone on to found
globally popular companies such as Viber,
an online messaging app, and Wix, a website

Unit 8200'S operations are devoted to mass surveillance
and blackmail of Palestinians. Israel's
Pegasus Spyware, launched by the NSO
group, has been utilized for the harassment
and assassination of activists and
journalists by repressive regimes globally.
A November 8, 2021, joint technical report by
the University of Toronto's Citizen Lab and
Amnesty International's Security Lab
established, based on technical research by
Front Line Defenders, that Pegasus Spyware
had been used to hack the phones of six
Palestinians working for human rights
organizations in the West Bank.

phrase "Pegasus Effect" to designate the
phenomenon whereby invasive technologies
