Inspired when taking photos of the 2002 #Unicomp #keyboard I received the other day, I've made various minor improvements to my #IBMModelM M4 and M4-1 wiki page!

Keys #F1-#F24 & #PF1-#PF12 are standardized and on a real 100% board like the #ModelM #Terminal & #Unicomp #PC122 you'll have these...

• Also the #CopilotKey is still a fuckup as it destroys #MuscleMemory and fucks with people who tend to hit the #spacebar on the right edge...

Alongsite with the usually misnamed #SuperKey, the #Copilot - #Key should've never been allowed or even implemented into existance!

My next big wiki page revision is coming along nicely! #Unicomp, the 'torchbearers' of #bucklingspring #IBMModelM #ModelM keyboards, deserves a good, informative, factual page as well! Aiming for a release potentially as early as a few days, maybe a week?

Is there a version of the #Unicomp #ModelM #Keyboard in Beige like the original?

@frumble gibt mehrere Gründe:

• #Trackpoint > #Touchpad (besonders der #UltraNav!)
• Ich hasse #drahtlos-Zeugs!
• #MagicTrackpad hat nicht tauschbaren #Akku, lässt sich nur drahtlos nutzen und nutzt nen #LightningConnector!
• Ich hab kein Platz dafür...
• zu teuer...
• #Apple ist #AntiRepair und das will ich bicht durch Umsatz fördern!

Wenn überhaupt würd' ich nen #Unicomp #Performa, #ModelM13 oder nen #TexShinobi kaufen weil #Lenovo hat die kabelgebundene Version des "Compact Keyboard with UltraNav" eingestampft und durch eine 3x so teure dahtlos-only - Variante ersetzt die keinen Vorteil gegenüber der vorherigen hat.

• Ich hab schon fast alle #Trackpoint - Keyboards von #Sprintek die im Auftrag von #IBM bzw. #Lenovo als USB-Geräte gefertigt wurden...

So, apparently, there's a company in Kentucky from whom one can purchase 'genuine' :-) IBM Model-M (USB) keyboards. I mean, like, wow.
