While I was digging outside, @vaviurka made butter.
She used 500g Grietinė (sour cream, 30% fat), because that's the commonly available product here, heavy cream/whipping cream is a specialty niche product and costs more. So it's already fermented. Which is apparently the popular type of butter around Europe.
It yielded 150g of butter, plus some buttermilk which was made into waffles, so it's actually more expensive than buying butter here (butter €8.60 per kg, sour cream €3.12, putting this home made butter at €10.40 not including electricity for churning).
Butter and waffles are both delicious 😍
