I've installed Linux Lite 7.4, which is based on the solid Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. This combination is a match made in heaven for older hardware like the X200. Linux Lite is specifically designed to be lightweight and fast, breathing new life into machines that might struggle with more resource-heavy operating systems.
Using the X200 with Linux Lite feels surprisingly snappy for its age. It's perfectly capable of handling web Browse, document editing, and other light tasks. It's amazing how a modern, optimized Linux distribution can make even a vintage laptop useful again!
