@linuxmint: Sort-of works, but don't let it go to sleep, because then the keyboard won't work any more on the login screen and your only option is a hard reboot.
@CachyOS: The live "disk" boots but there's no mouse cursor and the keyboad doesn't work.
@archlinux: The live disk is stuck in an endless "SPI transfer timed out".

Nachdem ich ja bei KDENeon einen KernelPanicScreen hatte und das Booten vom älteren Kernel ja keine Dauerlösung ist für kommende eventuelle Updates, hab ich mich dazu entschlossen, eine neue mögliche Distro als Daily Driver zu testen. Daher hab ich mit meinem Sohn gestern - erstmal in ner VM zum Testen - CachyOS mit KDEPlasma Desktop installiert. Und - Wooow ist das alles schnell mit CachyOS! Ich bin schon beim Installieren des OS und Downloaden meiner benötigten Programme sowas von begeistert! Beispiel LibreOffice: Während das in KDENeon einfach ne gefühlte Ewigkeit braucht, bis sich das Programm öffnet, geht es bei CachyOS einfach Zack, Zack. Auch Octopi, der Paketmanager der mit dabei ist, ist sehr cool.
Der Einzige Nachteil ist: ich muss neue Befehle fürs Terminal lernen, weil Arch nun mal leider ja nicht Debian/Ubuntu ist. Aber da mein Sohn schon länger Arch nutzt, kann er mich da gut anleiten.
Werde jetzt die nächsten 2 Wochen mal mit dem neuen System bisschen rumspielen, um zu wissen, ob ich das gut finde für den Alltag. Aber bisher finde ich das schon sehr sehr nice! 😊😁

Also, da ich es sympathisch fand, was MidnightBSD zur Altersverifikation veröffentlicht hat, hab ich mir mal Videos dazu angeschaut, was das für ein OS ist, weil ich kannte das bisher nicht.
Und joa, verstehe dass die das so veröffentlichen können, weil das kein massentaugliches OS ist. Holy Crap, der Installer sieht aus wie bei Windows95, das meiste läuft übers Terminal und 3 von 4 Info-Videos sind gefailed beim installieren eines GUI. Der angebotene Paketmanager hält veraltete Pakete oder es fehlt an gängigen Software-Paketen.
Das ist wohl eher was für Linux Tech Geeks, die alle Befehle aus dem FF kennen und wissen, was zu tun ist. Eben leider nichts für die breite Masse und auch für mich nicht tauglich.
Schade, weil das Statement zur Altersüberprüfung ist echt sympathisch!

好像外国人普遍启蒙Linux是Linux Mint，中国人的启蒙Linux好像却大多数是Ubuntu，在V2上，有人问Linux使用帖子，Ubuntu和Debian各自占据半壁江山，有人用Alpine还被嘲讽没有systemd残废了233，然后被嘲讽的就开始嘲讽systemd是垃圾2333，可见Arch，Gentoo，Alpine等等原教旨注意玩家还是少。

是因为Ubuntu i18n做的比Mint好，Snap商店可以一键安装，软件兼容性更高，更符合中国人的软件使用习惯，商业化程度高，好像有很多公司的默认Linux是Ubuntu吗？还有Linux桌面、安装引导，Ubuntu应该算是做的比较人性化的
查了下相关资料，还有其他原因：
1. 2013年，Canonical（Ubuntu 母公司）与中国工信部（MIIT）达成协议，共同打造了 Ubuntu Kylin 作为中国操作系统的参考架构；
2. Ubuntu 官方投入了大量资源与搜狗（Sogou）、金山（WPS）合作。在很长一段时间里，搜狗输入法、WPS Office 的 Linux 版首发和适配最好的都是 Ubuntu；
3. Ubuntu本身开源，但是其母公司Canonical 的商业色彩浓厚，更倾向于通过 Snap 商店（闭源后端）来统一分发闭源软件（如微信、钉钉的 Linux 版封装）；
4. 种种原因，Ubuntu成为“默认”Linux，教程庞大挤压其他Linux教程生态，导致小白入门大概率只能选Ubuntu。
还有现在大学教学Linux一般都是Ubuntu和CentOS，网安专业会让你顺便安装Kali Linux，但是个人觉得apt系列就选Debian，Redhat系就选Rocky Linux吧。
还有刚刚开始用Debian的时候，我读作“低半”，后来看了些Youtube视频才改口成“呆扁”。

I am currently using #fedora as my main #linuxdistribution.
The main selling point about Fedora was the frequent updates, but I don't think that I'm deep enough into Linux to feel the benefits.
I think I should try #distrohopping to at least know what the competition looks like.
What #linuxdistro do you guys recommend for a guy that wants to learn low-level #programming and that likes to test things?
PS: I had also tried #zorinos before Fedora.
