Overhead shot of a large 5cm moth on a hand. It has a thick grey abdomen. It has grey-brown forewings which it holds slightly wide of its abdomen and which slope sharply behind like an arrowhead. They are scalloped across the bottom. The hindwings poke out underneath the forewings but either side of its head. It gives the appearance of being almost square and quite angular - leaf like. The wings are largely grey with a dark grey-brown band across the middle with a small white dot in the very centre of each wing.

Front on shot of a Poplar Hawk Moth on a finger. It has a large round fuzzy, cute head, like felt, with two thick orange antennae poking out left and right. It has two black eyes either side of snout. Its wings angle out left and right, diagonally upwards as if about to take off.

Side on shot of 3cm moth on a finger. it is tubular or twig shaped. It has a flat, buff coloured head and pinched together flattened back end, which is also buff. Its main body is silver grey with black flashes like the bark of a birch tree. It resembles a twig that has been snapped off a tree.
