I'm on the Island Bus Link now. En route to Nanaimo ✌️🚐😷
I am the only person masked on the bus. In front passenger seat & can roll window down.

Selfie of me with blue-tipped hair wearing a white KN95 mask, a black newsboy cap, and purple tassel earrings with small skulls. They are sitting in what appears to be the passenger seat of a bus. They wear a leather choker with metal rings, a blue ribbed top, and denim overalls. One side of the scene includes a building outside the bus window.A small, fuzzy blue Totoro plushie sits on the dashboard of a car. Outside the windshield, a row of buildings, parked cars, and trees are visible under a bright, partly cloudy sky on a sunny day. The plushie catches the light, creating a cheerful and whimsical scene inside the vehicle.A collection of four stuffed monkey toys sits on the dark interior of a car: a red and yellow monkey holding a cardboard tube, a monkey with a mohawk, an iconic sock monkey with a stocking cap, and a pink monkey with a fluffy white mane holding a car key fob. The car's climate control panel is partially visible in the background.

Photos of the Methodist cemetery at the Hannahville Indian Community in Michigan. This cemetery contains the grave of Abraham Meshigaud (Mishicot).

Abraham was born in 1821 and died in 1916. His grandfather, Chief Naya To Shingh (also named Mishicot) was born at the mouth of the Manitowoc River and died in 1838. The Mishicot River and Mishicot Township were named after him.

A group photo of Mishicot community members captured during the Hannahville Potawatomi Pow Wow bus trip on June 24, 2006.

The bus trip was an annual tradition organized by the Mishicot Historical Museum to the “land of Chief Mishicot” during the Great Lakes Area Traditional Pow Wow at the Woodland Gathering Grounds.

From a caption attached to the photo:

Gathered around the grave of Chief Abraham Meshiguad / Mishicott are the 55 participates who took the bus trip to the Hannahville Potawatomi Pow Wow at Harris, Michigan on June 24. 2006. Seated in the center is Earl Meshiguad, great grandson of Chief Meshiguad and cultural director for the Hannahville Potawatomi. Earl assisted with the tour of the Tribal Center, and of a sweat lodge and native spiritual center at his home. The trip was sponsored by the Mishicott Historical Museum and will be an annual event. The village was named after Chief Mishicot in 1847 who lived in the vicinity and who was a friend of the village’s founder, Daniel Smith. Arrangements are being made for a delegation of the Potawatomi to return to Mishicot for its annual Pumpkin Fest on October 21st, 2006.”
