@simondueckert arbeite seit einiger Zeit mit #Collabora Office und finde es - nach etwas lernen und Umstellung gar nicht schlecht.

verdammt! seit 2 tagen vertrödle ich sinnlos zeit damit #nextcloud 32 und #collabora zu fixen weils in #firefox einfach keine dokumente mehr lädt bzw. erst ein timeout gibt (dev konsole) bevor das dokument dann doch lädt
in chromium kein problem - auf, zu, auf, zu -> flüssig

Ik ben de laatste weken nogal bezig met te zoeken naar Europese alternatieven voor Google Workspace en Microsoft Office.

Voorlopige conclusie: er is nog veel werk aan de winkel. De gebruiksvriendelijkheid is voorlopig nog minder.

Maar er zijn wel boeiende initiatieven. European tech? Het spreekt me wel aan.

#DeGoogle is hard. There is seemingly NO usable OpenDocument Format (odt, ods, odp, etc) editor for #Android. #Collabora has no pageless/continuous/web view or true dark mode. #OnlyOffice requires awful OOXML formats. #Nextcloud Notes is only Markdown.

Im ersten Teil des c't uplink Talks geht es um die verschiedenen anderen Programme, die man nutzen kann - wie kompatibel die sind und warum es immer Unterschiede gibt.

Im zweiten Teil geht es auch um den Einsatz in Verwaltungen.

Spannend finde ich, dass es offenbar in der Wirtschaft nicht nur kaum Beispiele für die Nutzung von Alternativen gibt, sondern auch kaum Überlegungen zum Ausstieg aus der US-Cloud. Haben die alle nichts zu verlieren?

Important update to #Nextcloud #Helmfile. It now contains a #Collabora instance, so you can edit Nextcloud documents from Browser. Tested on K3S so far. Would be great if someone could test this on K8S with Nginx.

In 2026 more and more distributions remove #xorg and for good reasons. The snippet below and a few others were rejected/ignored by the developers. It would enable #wayland to play nicely with stereo projectors on Linux. #collabora

Für mich geht's bei der #Nextcloud gar nicht darum, unterwegs auf alles zugreifen zu können. Deshalb liegt auch nicht alles in der #Cloud. #Musik und wichtige #Dateien sind direkt auf dem #Smartphone (Dateien verschlüsselt) gespeichert.
Aber der automatische #Sync von #Kalender, #Kontakte, #Joplin #Notizen über alle Geräte hinweg - und bei den #PCs und #Notebooks auch der "Arbeitsdokumente" ist für mich schon ein must have.
Und dass auf meinem mit #LUKS verschlüsselten #RootServer zusätzlich eine Nextcloud läuft, spielt keine Rolle. Der #Server ist eh für diese #Sharkey #Instanz, #Peertube, #Collabora, #Matrix und #Wanderer da.

Hi. Ich habe da nochmal eine Frage zu #Wanderer.

Im Testbetrieb mit nur 1-2 manuell hochgeladenen #GPSTracks und einer angelegten #Liste hat das prima funktioniert.

Nachdem ich begonnen habe, Wanderer produktiv zu nutzen (35 Listen analog meiner #Komoot #Collections) und Import aller ca. 680 Touren aus Komoot mit der Komoot #Integration...
a) werden mir die Listen beim Versuch, eine Route einer Liste zuzuordnen, nicht mehr angezeigt
b) ist Wanderer sehr langsam bis hin zu "verlangsamt den Browser" Meldungen von #Firefox
c) ist die Load auf meinen #rootServer 25 mal höher als ohne Wanderer. Ohne Wanderer langweilt sich dieser bei einer Load von 0.15 mit #Nextcloud (#BareMetal), #Collabora, #Sharkey, #Peertube und #Matrix als #Docker.
Die hohe Load wird von 5 Prozessen "node built" erzeugt.

Nutzt du Wanderer bisher produktiv, also mit vielen Routen, Listen etc.? Kannst du ähnliches beobachten?

Habe #Collabora #Desktop jetzt endgültig entfernt.

Es ist einfach kein guter Workflow möglich. Obwohl irgendwie alles geht, ist es gefühlt auf dem Stand von #LibreOffice vor zehn Jahren. Viel zu viele Klicks für viel zu wenige Funktionen.

Das ist komisch und schade, denn mit der Web-Version auf #Nextcloud komme ich gut zurecht.
