(That's really nice I guess, I missed the option to make smaller edits on the image directly within the image viewer without opening a separate program for it)

@CStamp And market for "stupid" software, too.
A #TextEditor that only load/save text locally, instead of the cloud. An #ImageViewer that only show images. #Document editors which don't capture everything you type to send somewhere.
Software that plays nice with others, exporting/importing into standard formats.

A question for macos users : is there a way to open svg files in Preview ?
I can't believe macos expects the user to install separate software to open/view svgs. The image viewer is not equipped to show svg files in 2023 ? I thought this was a machine for media editing!

a nice review of XnView MP a GREAT full featured Image viewing and sorting program. Me personally I'm fine with Gwenview, But XNView MP has more features, and is cross platform. I do use their XnConvert Batch converter a LOT. Geeksmint has a good breakdown here for anyone that might be interested in something with a few more bells & whistles.
Has anyone in my TL made a quick #Python #ImageViewer with a grid view?
I do most of my #StableDiffusion image generation using various scripts or GUIs that I created. Each of them store the image generation parameters in the image as meta data.
My latest generation GUI is also an image gallery. It lets me view the images I’ve generated and being able to see the parameters is handy since I can compare various images later and see what model, prompt, and settings were used.
I also do image generation on #Windows (as opposed to #Mac) using #InvokeAI. Now InovkeAI does store the generation settings in the image too but obviously, the keys used to store the data are different to mine.
So my image gallery does not show the settings used when I browse images generated in InokeAI 😛
I got a bunch of coding done and the new GUI working correctly as I liked yesterday. Now I have to figure out how to extract the metadata for InvokeAI-generated images and to display that in my viewer too … It never stops 😀

If you frequently have to look at images - especially textures, when you're a #gamedev - it's super useful. But maybe also for our #photography folks?
Simple #imageviewer in the likes of #sxiv but with ability to look through a directory of #images. Anybody a suggestion?
