@marcbeldata@mastodon.cloud Most of the time I found a case where I thought I would need to do this kind of operation, I could change the workflow, the UX or the data processing pipeline to just avoid the operation and have a better and faster way to do (almost) the same thing.

Also, latest improvements in #JTS (hence #GEOS) may help a lot. Check Martin's blog to know more : http://lin-ear-th-inking.blogspot.com/ According to which version of #GEOS is packaged with your software version, you may not benefit from it yet.
