Nur mal an die Zweifelnden ( „brauche Word, wegen gemeinsamer Bearbeitung mit anderen“). Ich tausche gerade wegen eines Lektorats Dokumente mit Farbmarkierungen, Kommentaren und Korrekturen und im Änderungsmodus mit der Verlegerin. Sie nutzt Word, ich Libreoffice, Dokumentenformat ist odt (docx ginge auch, wir sind jetzt aber bei odt geblieben).
Läuft vollkommen reibungslos.
Der Text wird später professionell layoutet.

Boaah, MSOffice und WordOnline ist ja sooo eine Krätze, mir völlig unverständlich, wie man mit sowas arbeiten kann. Man braucht doppelt so lang und man kann sich bei dem Online-Ding noch nicht mal sicher sein, dass alle Änderungen gespeichert wurden wg dauernden Fehlermeldungen.
Musste vorhin leider mit diesem WordOnline Ding arbeiten und war instant mehr als eine Stunde lang nur am Fluchen.
Das Känguru in den Känguru-Chroniken bezeichnete das als Technik-Tourette, weil Marc-Uwe Kling auch so fluchen und schimpfend vor seinem Laptop saß. Mir ging es vorhin genauso. Aber wegen MSWord halt.
Bin ich froh, dass ich privat nur LibreOffice nutze 🙈🙈
Por mas que yo amo el #softwarelibre y que en mi vida diaria no uso otra cosa.
En mi trabajo tienen una adición a #Microsoft y sus productos, cosa que espero cambiar lentamente.
Y pues resulta que instalar #MSOffice funcionaba con normalidad hasta la semana pasada, desde entonces marca un error donde dice que no hay Internet y/o espacio en el disco duro, ninguna de las dos cosas son ciertas.
Busque en Internet por posibles soluciones a este problema pero ninguna de las soluciones que a otra gente les sirvieron me sirvió a mi.
Así que contacte al soporte de #Microsoft para que trabajen, ya que uno les paga por su software defectuoso que hagan algo.
Le escribí al soporte en ingles por que al final si se me facilita mas si hablamos en ese idioma que en alemán, hace un rato me llamaron desde Frakfurt am Main para ayudarme con dicho problema, al principio no entendía nada ni si me hablaban en alemán o en ingles, ya que pregunte si hablábamos en alemán o en ingles la persona que me llamaba me dijo que en ingles, ahí sentí un alivio pero cuando siguió hablando seguía teniendo que seguir adivinando la mayor parte de lo que decía, la persona al otro lado de la linea tenia un fuerte acento hindú y daba igual que hablara en ingles yo apenas y le entendía, por suerte entendí que me pregunto que version de MSOffice quería instalar y cuando se lo dije me respondió que esa no era su area y que me iba a poner en contacto con otra area, espero que para la próxima tenga mas suerte con entender :)
Mientras tanto a una colega de trabajo le instale #LibreOffice que se instala tan fácil como con un solo click, espero que le guste y que ya no necesitemos de MSOffice :)

6. AMA Manual of Style
Do you include spaces around em dashes? Should you rock a serial comma in lists? The style guide you follow should set the grammar check to do the right thing.

Habe jetzt mal Only Office getestet. Boar bisher so viel geiler als Libreoffice und es ist auch Opensource, für wem es wichtig ist. Zudem kann man es auch online im Browser nutzen, auch selber hosten bzw klassisch installieren. Gibt auch eine Bezahlvarianten, was aber eher für Firmen oder richtig Hardcoreuser interessant sein kann.
Glaub damit kann ich mich nu anfreunden, kein MS Office zu nutzen. KI und bla bla kann man auch via Plugin anbinden.
Gibt es für alle Plattformen.

@ts-new Ich seh gerade wie zufrieden ich wohl bin, seit ich #LibreOffice bzw. davor #StarOffice und OpenOffice nutze. Ach ja, das "restliche Office" wird bei mir von #Kmail, #KOrganizer & Co ergänzt, zusammen mit meiner NextCloud, auch wenn ich mein Onlinegestrüpp langsam zurückbaue.
Es funktiert einfach, zuverlässig, und schnell. Fairerweise habe ich aus o.g. Grund keine Erfahrungen mehr mit #MSOffice seit 2007. Jaja, das zeigt zwar dass ich unheimlich alt bin, aber auch, dass ich das teure Gerümpel nie wirklich gebraucht habe. Allerdings sehe ich das ja oft genug (mitz gesundem Abstand) bei Freunden und Bekannten. :smile:
Ha! Ich hab nie drauf geachtet, aber wegen dieser Unterhaltung habe ich mal geguckt... und ja: LibreOffice startet mittlerweile wirklich rasend schnell. Ich hab es nur nie bemerkt, weil es immer gut und im laufenden Betrieb zuverlässsig gelaufen ist. Einmal gestartet, brauche ich nichts mehr zu tun, bis ich abends den Rechner ohnehin wieder runtergfahren hab.

Wow, #SoftMakerOffice is really pleasant to work in, if you don't hate MS Office. I've used many of the major Linux-compatible office suites (LibreOffice, OpenOffice) and am impressed enough with SoftMaker that I upgraded from #FreeOffice to the paid version.
If you're used to MS Office, it's really easy to find your way around.
It isn't FOSS, but the fact that it has excellent Linux support makes it worthwhile for me.

Wer diskutiert, ob #msoffice durch #libreoffice ersetzt werden kann, beispielsweise in der #Schule , hat m.E. Digitalisierung noch nicht verstanden:
Texte in #office zu schreiben ersetzt ein Blatt Papier durch ein digitales Blatt Papier. Es bleibt eine den Papierseiten als Dokumentenstruktur verhaftete Denkweise.
Ein Wechsel in der #Bildung zu #markdown oder #orgmode wäre ein Wechsel, in Inhaltlichen Strukturen statt in Seiten zu denken.
