I finally got around to planting carrots in a pot. Nantes Half Long.The bottom soil is pretty dry so it's soaking in a tub overnight. I picked up the potted marigolds that were spread about the garden, I have 10 feet of them, or 22 plus 1 tomato volunteer and 1 clump of oregano. The two squash beds are ready for planting with most of the lumpy goose manure having soaked up the water and softened.

In the upper left is a big coil of poly irrigation pipe and beyond that are two metal trash cans with holes in them trying to be composters.

The other raised bed with goose manure added to it. This one has 4 stakes in it to mark where the summer squash and zucchini will be planted. There is a raised bed of arugula, spinach and radish to the right. There is a hollyhock growing out of the ground on the right side of the squash bed.

Oof, I'm jabsolutely schnackered, but the potatoes are all in.

Leveled the mess from the fence removal with the digger.

Made a no-dig bed from Barnfloor Special*, a small amount of kitchen compost and a bunch of hay raked on top.

Barn is looking a step up again and I have enough space to park the machinery side by side, which is nice.

* The barn floor had a mix of old hay, manure, rotting wood and dry dusty soil, which is now a garden bed.

The garden, viewing down the line where a fence was removed yesterday. The resulting trench, mess of weeds and some small tree trunks has been removed and leveled. The small yellow excavator that did it stands nearby, googly eye just barely in frame.
