Ich überlege meinen #PlexServer durch #Jellyfin zu ersetzen… Aktuell läuft das ganze parallel. Habe noch keinen externen Zugriff für Jeööyfin eingerichtet… Bin aber grundöegend gan zufrieden… Lediglich ein ordentlicher Player der #carplay und #Hörbücher ordentlich unterstützt fehlt mir momentan…
Aber grundlegend überzeugt es mich schon, unabhängug von #plex zu sein…
Irgendwie ist das halt einfach etwas seltsam geworden, über die 16 Jahre, ich das inzwischen nutze.

But alas it is DoA so have to go through the returns process which is annoying
Oh well, will get another one when the refund come through
Adding a new HDD to the PLEX server next week a chonky 12TB one, but I need a caddy for it and UGreen make an excellent one, used them before and they are great
Hopefully the drive will arrive early next week, will be replacing a 6TB & 2TB drives

Had a pretty good day so far. Went on a field trip with my preschooler’s class to an apple orchard. Bought some gluten-free Trader Joe’s baked dessert. Rebuilt my plex server on a new host.
Felt good to be this productive for myself and family.

Setting back up my home server today while waiting on android webview to build. I had an lvm setup across 5 ancient hard drives and I lost my first HDD. Nothing too valuable on the lv that got corrupted ( #plexserver storage), but I'm going to have to rerip a lot of movies over time. It's kinda ridiculous that I have to rerip and re-encode movies I own out of fear that I'd have to face a lawsuit if I downloaded an encode from someone else to save time.

The server has been having some space issues, so adding another hard drive to it, this will allow me to organise things better, cause right now the files are a bit of a mess!
4TB is about what we need right now, plus o have another 2TB to add at some point soon as well
Needed a KVM for the media server/Lindsays laptop up in the studio, this one from @ugreen_official was on sale on Amazon and fitted our requirements, so we ordered it and it arrived today, all set up now and just waiting @lindsaylikestea to test it out

Ok I downloaded all my MP3s from Amazon, they are on my #Synology ds-218J. I have #Roku televisions, #android phones, windows laptops, and headless Linux machines I can install whatever on. Is #plexserver the path I want to go down? Or is there a better option?
