@gnulinux Ich nutze auch seit kurzem #immich und bin sehr zufrieden. Die Installation lief bei mir über #casaos und war super einfach. Für den Zugriff von unterwegs nutze ich aber #WireGuardVPN .

Proxmox was installed, no issues there, CasaOS is running on the fist VM and that’s dealing with the things like PLEX, AudioBookShelf etc

Setting up a second VM right now to play around with Foundry VTT whilst the PLEX data folder copies to its new home

Если на компьютере под Linux нужно быстренько запустить Windows или MacOS, самый простой и быстрый способ сделать это — ввести команду для скачивания и загрузки докер-контейнера с этой ОС. В маркетплейсе RuVDS много готовых образов с установленными операционными системами. Там разные дистрибутивы Linux, Windows Server и CentOS. Но нет контейнеров с операционными системами. Операционная система в докер-контейнере (в QEMU) не требует ручной инсталляции ОС. Всего одна команда в консоли — и контейнер Windows скачивается и запускается.

It's not covered in this post, but in as many places as I can, I have opted for #opensource solutions. I'm particularly geeked about replacing Apple Notes with Joplin and switching the synchronization settings from Dropbox to a self-hosted #Joplin server on my #CasaOS.

I have a question about #SelfHosting . I am a beginner in the matter and think about an All-In-One solution, as self-hosting email seems like a daunting task to me. I use #linux #debian and I am familiar with the command-line. So :

Has anyone tried one of those OSes ? If so, what are your pros and cons about them ?

I think that #Pop_OS is overkill for running CasaOS, especially since I plan to unplug all peripherals and hide the computer away in the corner somewhere.

I'm considering switching to Ubuntu Server which #CasaOS supports.

I've seen people recommend Debian, Xubuntu, and others.

My computer hosting this server is a 2017 Lenovo Thinkstation with i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD running the OS.
