Today I made a successful #repair of some #apple airpods. The batteries were dead and needed replacement.

TBH, this is the 2nd attempt. In the first I destroyed one when removing glue. This time I found a tool that is well suited for extracting the old batteries.
To hold the AirPods in place during the repair, a piece of foam in a vice worked well.

I spent all day yesterday trying to get my kid’s iPad to charge. I finally concluded that maybe the port has gotten damaged. So, I ordered a new port (and new adhesive, cause ipad) from @iFixit so that I can repair it. I decided to mess with it again this morning, only to finally get it to start charging. So basically, iFixit’s parts are so good, all you have to do is order them and the device could magically fix itself.
I guess I’ll have some spare parts on hand 🤷♂️

In other news, the IC706 I had in the work truck is in drastic need of a tune-up/full alignment/etc....
Low power output on 40m, SWR pegs to infinity, even though the antenna system shows a decent SWR on the same band. Extremely low power output on 20m and 10m, but SWR reads correct.
Anyone know of a good, reputable, fair repair shop that can do the alignment and repair what's broken?
The rig is 25 years old, and has about 2 million miles on it between my POV and the Semi truck. It's been a great rig, it just needs some help.
