Can #StarTrek #replicators create life? In a recent #LowerDecks episode, Boimler and Rutherford argued about a #bonsai tree. A Mastodon post pointed out that the tree was a result of a replicator malfunction in an earlier episode. I thought replicators could create things that were copies of life-produced products, like an apple or a steak, but not living things themselves.
