Kubernetes on RHEL 9, anyone? RHEL 9 uses nftables out of the box. The k8s things I tried (CRI-O, Flannel) seem to use iptables. I end up with two rulesets. Does not work together, more against each other.

Am I holding it wrong?

Yay! Managed to get #forgejo runner working with #podman on my #RHEL9 server! Ran my first action, so I now have my little CI/CD working :) Big thanks to https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/ne0l/forgejo/ for making it easy to setup.

@RuiSeabra I think that's corporate propaganda, since #CentOS was mostly being used to draw #support by #3rdParties towards #RHEL.

Had #RedHat not yanked the plug on #CentOS8 prematurely, I would've likely advised to migrate to #RHEL9 but instead I've chosen to save 87,5% of budget and migrate to #UbuntuLTS because #Canonical can't afford that level of pissing unto customers heads whilst not even bothering to upsell that as rain...

spun up a new VM without the CIS security profile and `PermitRootLogin` works as expected.

Not sure who will find this useful, but in case you're ever wondering why you can't get root ssh it's probably related to CIS (or other security profiles)

RHEL 9 seemingly won't allow root SSH even with PermitRootLogin set to `yes` in sshd_config. Clearly a security thing but I wasted a bit of time this afternoon trying to "fix" it in my lab :flan_angry:

So #Forgejo 7.0.2 has been released and it fixed a rather obscure bug I found: Replying to issues via e-mail didn't always add the attachments like screenshots. This is now fixed! Yay! And it was just a systemctl stop forgejo; podman pull codeberg.org/forgejo/forgejo:7-rootless; systemctl start forgejo on my #RHEL9 server! https://forgejo.org/releases/

Tonight I put into production an upgrade/migration project I’ve been working on for large parts of the last year.
