A few weeks after our trip to Stans (see previous ThrowbackThursday post) we've been to Galtür for three days and left just one day before the southern peak of Fluchthorn mountain collapsed in a huge rock slide.

I took this shot one beautiful cold January day just before the sunset while I was walking by the snow covered fields in nature. Everything was so nice and peaceful just as you expect when you are in untouchable nature far away from everything. There was nothing else in front of me but the winter whiteness and one lonely big tree illuminated with the last warm sun's rays. Those yellow and orange warm tones from the sunset were a beautiful contrast relative to the cold white snow. I could smell that fresh snow and hear the sound of some birds in the distance. Red hut in the snow

It's a cold late January afternoon in Serbia. The sun is slowly setting and its last rays are shining across the field, illuminating a small red hut under the snow cover. Red, yellow, and orange warm tones are spreading all around in this winter whiteness. Colors in the sky are also in that beautiful tones. Winter has already arrived and brought coldness and whiteness with it. Everything is covered with snow, but not the bare branches of this small forest and bushes, where some animals are looking for a place to hide from the coldness and hunters. There are also hawks on some branches waiting for some prey to appear. Everything is so calm and peaceful. There are no clouds in the sky and it's very cold today but I am still walking through the field in nature because scenes like this are surely worth photographing. It is late January afternoon in the field. Winter has already arrived and brought coldness and whiteness with it. Everything is covered with snow, as well as the bare branches of this small forest, where some animals are looking for a place to hide from the coldness and hunters. There are also hawks on some branches waiting for some prey to appear. Everything is so calm and peaceful. Hi Jen! Good question!!

Generally Australia does not experience wide spread #snow falls during #winter but we do have what’s knows as our #HighCountry in the State of Victoria.

We do have #snowfields, good skiing in general. Most of Victoria's alpine resorts lie to the north-east of Melbourne. Anywhere from say 2 to 4.5 hrs drive from our capital city Melbs.

These are a few of Victoria’s snowfields: #LakeMountain, #MtBawBaw, #MtBuller and #MtStirling, #MtHotham and #FallsCreek.

These👇are stock photos (source: visitvictoria.com/see-and-do/o and various), and #snow will start dumping early next month im guessing.

#newsouthwales has awesome snowfields. The largest ski resort in the #SouthernHemisphere is #Perisher. It has 47 lifts, plenty of runs, five terrain parks and around 100km of cross country trails. In #Thredbo you can ski Australia’s longest runs.

The Australian State of a #Tasmania, the island located to the south of Victoria, experiences flurries and snow falls throughout winter too. It’s closer to the #SouthPole. #Tassie is a gorgeous part of our country. 👏👍

PS I’m sure I’ve left out a load of other locations.
