My thumb is larger than the letters on my smartphone's virtual keyboard.

I find my smartphone keyboard very often opts for a space instead of the intended letters c, v, b, and n. It also opts for a . instead of the letter m.

There must be a way to deduce more accurately what I'm attempting to type? (Particularly when I backspace and then again get a space instead of a c, v, b, or n.)

Bonus points if you know any magic that would give me a that could be invoked and used with mouse on a desktop without a touchscreen.

I exhausted any options that made sense to me and I can't dig and try random stuff beyond what I can fix back, because I really can't nuke this system.

It doesn't produce sound, but can be used to control a MIDI synthesizer (hardware or software, internal or external) to play notes via the PC keyboard or mouse, or to visualize on-screen notes played by another instrument or MIDI file player. In particular, it offers key parameterization, program and controller changeover support for MIDI synthesizers in a standard format (QTractor and TSE3 compatible).
