Do Expensive Filaments Make 3D Printed Wrenches Better?

The real answer is “it depends”, but sometimes you have a simple question and you just want a simple answer. Like, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2a1h-bc2Zw" target="_blank">which material makes the best 3D printed wrench</a>? [My Tech Fun] printed a bunch of options to find out — including some expensive filaments — and got some interesting insights in the process.</p>
<p>His setup is simple: he printed a bunch of 13 mm open-end wrenches, and tested each one to failure by cranking on a clamped digital torque meter until the wrench failed by breaking, or skipping.</p>
<p>[My Tech Fun] tested a total of eighteen filaments, from regular basic PLA, PETG, ABS and ASA, and a variety of carbon fiber-infused filaments including PPA-CF. TPU is included for fun, and there’s also a wrench printed with continuous carbon fiber, which requires a special printer. More on that in a moment. First, let’s get to the results!</p>

Last year when I was struggling with cars breaking down at the start of winter, I swore I'd get myself an impact wrench next time I'd have to do this.
So luckily I did get this just before and it was indeed extremely helpful in getting crusty old bolts out, plus taking a wheel off and back on again is so much faster now.
The manufacturer claims it does 1200 Nm at maximum setting, some YT reviewer who did measure and compare them arrived at 1000 Nm, but whichever it is, it is enough to bust old soviet sockets to pieces 😆
It has the same really nice "halo" light as the smaller impact driver, three speed settings, a stop-when-nut-is-loose mode and a nutbusting mode for maximum opening torque.
For size comparison, that's a 46 mm socket.

I need help from #diy community. Is this #tool weird or is this kind of scale and dial normal? I am used to torque wrenches, that have multiple of 10 on the dial. I'd be fine with multiple of 7, if all numbers on the scale were 0.7 apart, but it's not! Between 2.1 and 2.9, 7.8 and 8.6 it's 0.8! Sure, I know, it's not difference in significant digit, this #wrench is not that precise anyway. But if the dial is that screwed up, who knows what else is wrong? Or is it just fine?

Is this the best torque wrench, no. Can I read the display while trying to get to 70Nm(600 in. lbs), no. Is this vintage torque wrench still accurate, don't know. It does give me a great deal of leverage, so that's nice.
If you add a bit of #shrinkTubing to the end of a bit, it won't slide through the 1/4" #wrench on your #NiteIzeDoohicKey, allowing you to use the #pocketTool as a #bitDriver without struggling as much not to lose the bit. Putting a bit of thumb behind the tube-side and such can help with downward force. The DoohicKey provides the turning force
