#openSUSE #leap 16 - Not a single update since the upgrade to 16 via opensuse-migration-tool. I don't receive any updates via #discover or #zypper up (after zypper ref). Only updates for flatpaks are displayed in discover.
repo-oss(16.0) and repo-openh264(16.0) are activated.
No update within a month. This looks a little bit strange!
PS: update-setting is "manually"

Aus meiner Erfahrung (ich hab seit vielen Jahren #OpenSuse #Tumbleweed auf dem eigenen und auf Famliencomputern und mach deswegen häufiger Updates):
Bei grösseren Update-Problemen mit Abhängigkeits-Zirkelschlüssen wie folgt vorgehen:
1) Identifizieren, wegen welchem Packet(en) die Bauchschmerzen jetzt wirklich auftauchen
2) Diese Pakete deinstallieren
3) System-Update fahren
4) Paket(e) wieder installieren.

tja, mit dem läuft das Script genau so gut... aber eine wichtige Anwendung crasht obwohl #zypper nix meckert.
Mit dem alten Stick, auch nach zypper dup alles perfekt...🙈

One of the annoyances of running #openSUSE_Tumbleweed is, even if you remove some patterns or packages, they tend to comeback when there's a big update.
There's a way to prevent this, you have to add a lock to every package or pattern you don't want reinstalled on a future upgrade.
The syntax is simple:
#zypper rm -u evolution
#zypper al evolution
1st removes packages along with it's dependecies; 2nd adds a lock to prevent future installs.
#zypper ll
to list all locked patterns/packages.

I just ran updates on my #opensuse #tumbleweed machine and was pleasantly surprised to see that #zypper supports concurrent downloads now. It doesn’t change a whole lot for me due to my bad country internet, but it’s still a welcome change nonetheless.
