Floppy mechanika Atari 1050 pre 8bitové počítače Atari. Táto prestala ešte začiatkom 90-tých rokov zapisovať médiá. Včera som sa dostal k tomu, že som ju rozobral, pozrel a zistil, že pokazená je LED signalizujúca povolenie zapísať. Spravil som bypass - doplnil som jumper a mechanika si LED nevšíma, zapisuje stále. V blízkej budúcnosti možno nahradím jumper dvojpolohovým prepínačom.

I've successfully made a raw flux dump of an original #VisiCalc for #Atari800 5¼-inch floppy disk and written the image to a fresh disk. My Atari 800 boots successfully into VisiCalc from the fresh disk in my #Atari1050 floppy disk drive.

I am seriously impressed. This is proper #SoftwareArchaeology.

No skill exhibited on my part; the Greaseweazle guide includes an example of how to specify the correct parameters for the gw command line program to successfully image an Atari disk. Raw flux allows us to image the disk, copy protection and all.

I'm inclined to put the image up on Archive.org, along with quality scans of the box and manuals.

Duplicado de discos con Atari DOS 2.5 💪😎

No tuve suerte con conectar el SDrive-MAX a uno de los puertos SIO de la Atari 1050 (los pines parecen no coincidir, así que no quise forzar la conexión para no romper nada). En consecuencia, estoy usando el cable SIO2PC para utilizar APE desde la PC como unidad 2. Luego, con la opción "Duplicate Disk" del DOS 2.5 se inicia el proceso de copiado. Depende la cantidad de sectores que tenga el disco a copiar, puede tardar unos cuántos minutos.

¡Encontré el Atari DOS 2.5! 😊 Tenía perdido el diskette luego de la mudanza y tuve que revolver entre varias pilas, pero apareció. Voy a hacer una copia de respaldo por las dudas, y seguir buscando el disco con el pack de juegos.

#Atari #65XE i emulator stacji dyskietek Atari 1050 (#Arduino MEGA + Ethernet Shield z czytnikiem kart microSD). Do tego pięknie wydrukowany w 3D wtyk SIO, który znalazłem w serwisie aukcyjnym ( w Polsce, za złotówki :)). Zaręczam, że wszystko działa idealnie!
Jak już kiedyś wspominałem, oprogramowanie dla Aruino nie jest, niestety, mojego autorstwa. Wykorzystałem też to, co miałem, czyli Ethernet Shield, i póki co nie będę do tego emulatora dorabiał wyświetlacza i panelu z przyciskami – wybór obrazu dyskietki dokonywany jest software'owo (IMHO świetny pomysł).
