Caravan with attached toilet and shower 🏕️

The #caravan is in good condition possibly new covers of the seats, the parking space can be taken over by arrangement, #cheap rent also the electricity costs.

The #campsite is located directly by the #sea about 50 metres away, the sandy #beach with bar is about 300 metres. 🌊

There was this large handsome collie at camp who wanted to say hello. Their owners didn't seem to mind so I offered my hand but they got straight to work: a quick sniff then walked closer and bumped their front haunch against my legs, stood in solidarity with me and let me pet it a bit.
So sweet; such a welcome warm surprise while I was packing up my tent, last day.

FOOD TRUCK! I got the crab cake sandwich. The special at the cafe was open faced roast beef.
Guy has his huge truck wrapped, so I ask him “what makes you an “OG” grill master?” from the side of the truck and he says Oh, it’s original something, I don’t remember (!)

Poolside party at camp. Had grilled chicken (leg), some baked beans, corn on the cob, & mac salad w/ green peas & ham. Fresh fruit, vodka punch, ice cream sundae - a small one - all about the toppings.
Then trays of shots came ‘round, mini Long Islands, peanut butter flavored whisky, strawberry tequila (?) The competitions were inspirational. Best tan, best jockstrap, etc.

It did get sunny again. I sat in the sun late afternoon but not for long, had to switch to shade. #Today is cooler.
Got a tip to keep a lookout for fisher in the area! Can get up to 14 feet long, were over-trapped/ almost extinct in early 20th, for their fur. Ppl call them 'fisher cats' but they're not; altho the name comes from French for 'pole #cat'... A couple guys at #camp have seen them.

Sooo quiet at camp, just the occasional golf cart or six wheeler. The forecast got everybody up and out, faster even than a usual Sunday morning. Although I battened down, thinking the sky would open, it passed and is trying to be sunny again.

Setting up camp TWICE in one day!

We knew we had about 8 hours of driving to do over a day and a half to get to Whitehorse and a site a reserved tomorrow night there. So we aimed to go over half way today.

It was a lovely day of driving on an incredible shitty, frost heaved, gravel patched, permafrost sunken Alaskan Highway east of Tok.

We had an okay night last night. Cathy didn’t sleep as much as I did. And this morning everything was super soaked still. The rain dripped off the spruces above us all night.
