Simple pleasures, focusing on a small phenomenon. I've got a glass of red wine outdoors in low angle sunlight.
Assuming it's a prism effect, I still can't explain the different red and white shapes to myself. Do I need professional help?

This morning I had a fun moment when I discovered that sunlight reflected inside the dustbin in my office formed a very nice #caustic that is practically the classic schoolbook example of spherical #aberration. #Caustic, the mobile all-in-one mobile #sequencer stopped working on Android 14 :(.
That's a shame, I seriously miss it. I used it for two tracks on my last album almost exclusively.

Is there anything similar in terms of a #mobileDAW I can use as a replacement? I'm willing to spend up to 20€ for it (Caustic was like 8€ or so).
Would be good to have a

* pattern --> song structure, so I can use one and the same pattern at different positions in a song. If I change the pattern it will change everywhere, where it's placed in the song structure (not like in stupid LMMS and probably fruity loops)
* multiple virtual instruments (at least drum sampler, Synth with filter envelopes, Sampler)
* Chainable effects per track
* automation of synth/sampler/effects parameters. All of them

Any Idea about a good and fitting alternative?

Here's another quick step-by-step tutorial for the water caustic effect in Inkscape - this time using the Voronoi Diagram Extension.

It took a bit of tweaking - converting the results of the Corners Effects to Path and editing some of the nodes/ corners.
