@ramin_hal9001 @zquestz Im bit biased due to how libreoffice, eclipse and I believe something else were literally unusable for me when I tried changing system thene on #linuxmint with #cinammon once (~5 years ago)

I would disable any system theming if application would become inconsistent with its styling. But not all of them have this functionality :/

Also, as I now feel like its more about making #Qt, #GTK and others look more similar... Besides similar looking colours, I dont really feel we should make widgets themselfs feel similar, as each application was only designed with one toolkit in mind, and making more radical changes to it may just break its layout.

I installed mint-x and mint-themes on #Debian13 (download deb files from mint repo and installed them locally) but I want to reduce local installed packages so does anyone know a good looking #theme for #cinammon that has a package in official #Debian repos?

I've been getting used to Krita on LMDE lately and I've been pretty impressed, but I'm having this one weird issue: about 50% of the time, launching Krita crashes Cinammon.

I can trivially restart Cinammon and carry on just fine, but it's weird that it happens at all, and it's even weirder that it's inconsistent.

Baked apples with cinammon and sugar. Peeled em, mashed em, and put heavy cream over em 🤤

Highly recommend, you just halve an apple, sugar cinammon, tinfoil tent, bake 45 at 400F. Remove the tin foil, add 1/4C water. Cook 15 more.

Top with sweetened heavy cream or ice cream.

Trying out #LinuxMint with #Cinammon at the moment, I like everything so far, I think. I catch myself function-buttoning to switch between apps like I do in #Debian with #gnome3 though

@icel I spent quite some time seeing if I could move to #linux and in the end found I could do everything I needed using #linuxmint.
I recommend you try the same, dual boot your pc and see if you can do all your stuff with the applications available in the Linux world, it's a very usable ecosystem these days the desktops are very familiar but with no stupid limitations and you can try several till you find one you like, I recommend #cinammon it's really good

Heute wollte ich was neues probieren. Deshalb habe ich mein System vom #debian10 auf #testing umgestellt und dann #gnome anstatt #cinammon.
Wie kann ich das #gnome Display von 100% auf 75% skalieren? Es sieht alles rieeeesiiiig aus.

ich will es doch nochmal mit #Debian 10 versuchen, nun ist die Frage, soll ich meinen geliebten #Xfce nehmen oder doch vielleicht mal #Mate oder gar #cinammon testen ? Dieses ganze würde erstmal auf einen Mini-PC (NUC) installiert werden, da würde das System sozusagen als BackupBackend herhalten, wenn mal mit meinen grosser PC was sein sollte ?

@noorul @saturno if you like to use the most up-to-date packages, and you don't mind surfing the bleeding edge a bit, there's always #DebianTesting. I used #LMDE (Linux Mint Debian Edition) for a while, which is Testing with a #Mint desktop (#Cinammon or #Mate), and a bit of extra testing by the Mint community. It was an excellent combo of recent software and a very stable desktop experience.
