@prinlu depends on what you want to do... Also don't underestimate the possibility to have a more modular approach on Linux via #jackaudio (and/or #pipewire ).
I often use #Rosegarden together with #Ardour (syched via jack transport), have combined with #puredata, qmidiarp, etc. #Yoshimi synth of course.

I prefer #Rosegarden as a sequencer/ composition tool, #ardour for audio #daw, #puredata for the more experimental/ DIY stuff...

You can get pretty (crazy) creative 😉

Either I'm really stupid or #jackaudio is a hopelessly complicated and an un-user-friendly mess. I just cannot figure out how to reduce the latency. There are no clear and easy to follow instructions anywhere. And this isn't the first time I've used it. so I tried #pipewire jack replacement and that doesn't work either. I'm ready to give up and go back to #Windows for my #audioproduction stuff.

The funny thing is that the program that is segfaulting is pretty simple and written in #RustLang. I suspect #Fedora system updates (or fc38->39) have broken something related to #PipeWire / #JackAudio MIDI, because that's the only change I'm aware of.

Ok, capitalism, you won... I'll buy new gear to fix my tech issues.
So, new pedals ordered. And sound getting more precisely cut.
