How disgusting that #Trump is #capitulating to #Putin. He has turned #America's back to #Zelensky and sided with #Russia. Trump is Putin's #asset and #propagating his lies for the world to see. Trump is making America weaker and unsafe.

The Earth is definitely flat...

There is zero doubt about that
for I read it on the internet...

Sure I was skeptical at first...

This blatant contradiction
of established scientific facts
but then I saw all the posts
algorithm spoon fed boosts
BLASTING IN ALL CAPS
that the globe is a pancake...

Now I am empowered...

A disciple of the new truth...

that run counter to our freshly contrived version

Chopping and propping this morning!

This is a flowering kalanchoe that got super leggy. I’m going to use some of them to fill in the empty space in its pot, and split a few to new pots!

I bought some Thomcord grape cuttings that I found online in a location that can ship to here. Filled another tray up the other day and got them on the heat this morning.

Put the bags on different, also changed up some on the other cuttings. In the past I didn't have them on heat so just bagged them and put them somewhere it wasn't cold or sunny.

The idea is to keep the top cool, the soil warm to promote a callus and roots to grow from that.

Grow tent with four 1020 trays that have 8 each gallon pots or bags in them. There is a tray each of Thompson Seedless, A pink grape that might be a Delaware, a Moore's early or similar, and Thomcord.

I am not located in Europe and it is common practice here to grow directly from propagated vines. In many places it is unlawful to grow grapes on rooted cuttings due to Grape phylloxera and they require a resistant rootstock. The soil type here does not easily support phylloxera so it is only an issue in isolated areas and even small areas within some vineyards where it does not spread.

Started 24 grape cuttings. 8 each of Thompson seedless, the century old pink grape, and some Moore's Early.

Plan is to start some vines somewhere that's easier to harvest and able to be protected from 🐓 birds 🐦‍⬛ of all sizes. Not currently possible because they're mostly in landscaping areas out of the way, aka on and around rocks.

24 one gallon square grow bag pots with grape vine cuttings in coir potting mix. There are three varieties of grapes. There are 8 bags in each 1020 tray. They are sitting on an old picnic table.

Each grow bag with cutting has been covered with a clear plastic bread bag. This keeps the moisture level up so the buds and new leaves don't die before the roots take hold. The 3 trays of pots placed in the grow tent under the LED lights.

In a propagating mood - enjoy the baby leaves of my peperomia frost that I propped and just transferred to soil, and two pothos stems that I just put in water.

A photo of two pothos stems, each with two leaves, in small glass bowls of water under a grow light. The pothos leaves are long and vaguely heart shaped, with a thick stem in the water.A photo of a bundle of tiny little green leaves with very distinct veins. My thumb is next to the whole bundle showing that the collection of ten tiny leaves is about the size of my thumbnail.

Recently trimmed an overgrown pelargonium. These are a lot of seedings. Just about 6 inches with a node, remove some leaves, & any buds, stick them in compost, water not too often. So far they seem to be doing pretty well. Haven't pulled any up yet to see if they have roots... #pelargoniums #gardening #learning #propagating

On Tuesday, I lose my beloved #plum tree. 💔 I’m going to take some #cuttings even though it’s not ideal as it’s not winter yet. I still have to try for my very very sore heart.

I have sand, potting mix, perlite, rooting hormone… sharp shears. I’d like to try 4-6 cuttings since there’s no second chance. Does anyone have any suggestions? Cuts to make? Stripping bark off bottom?
@tinahardman16 ? ❤️ (PS I don’t have the #propagation book yet! 😫)

Do things come in threes?
Here’s the last of my “broken” trilogy today:

While planting the hyssop in my flowerbed, I found a broken stem. Probably by a cottontail.

I revived the broken plant in water, and put it in a small pot. Hopefully it’ll take root!

Found a broken stem of a Joe-Pye-Weed on a trail. I hope it takes root. I love this wildflower.

Such joy in seeing my propagated babies start growing into plants! On the left, a burro tail succulent that I #proplifted off the checkout area floor at a local plant shop, on the right my peperomia frost which I bought at a plant sale and learned on a random video I could propagate in water. 🥰 #propagating #plants #BabyPlants

The leaves are light green and heart shaped.

Broke in the bench with some Swedish ivy and coleus cuttings. Now they’re on a warming mat in our garage. If spring ever arrives in the PNW I’ll move them outside. Right now it’s 45(f) out there. #gardening #propagating #plants #plantstodon
