Sorry for going back to this, but it's just wild to me that apparently at no point during the development of RDNA 3, with AV1 encoding being a major new feature, did anybody attempt to encode a video in _the_ standard resolution of 1920×1080 on it?
They're like "yeah let's produce millions of GPUs and then be Surprised Pikachu when someone in a random GitLab instance notifies us that, oh, we can't do Full HD™"?!
If #Valve can push a console for $199, they will own the market.
For such old hardware (#Zen4 and #RDNA3), I don’t think they’re aiming for premium price but something that runs well and is accesible. Much like the #SteamDeck.

@suzannealdrich The Minisforum UM890 Pro is a nice #MiniPC. That #AMD #Ryzen 8945HS is a nice #APU :) You may get reasonable performance out the #Radeon 780M #iGPU for #AI and #ML tasks and it has a #RDNA3
If this the only server, then #Proxmox would be a good option for VMs and #LXC containers. Proxmox uses #Debian so you can #Docker or #Podman. Just watch your compute resources :)
