small shout out to the RunnerUp app that I started using about halfway in.
- for highlighting the fact that I'd previously been recording at 15s increments using OsmAnd's "driving" profile, sometimes resulting in significant fractions of a mile being under reported 🙃
- handy audio stats every mile (even if they're slightly questionable)

@elperronegro there are plenty of offline and online (active internet connection required) apps that can aid with your mapping experience.
Definitely would recommend to record all hiking trips, so that you can either upload the GPX file or overlay it in your editor of choice. I currently use #RunnerUp, though have used #FitoTrack and #OSMtracker in the past.
The #OSMWiki has a list of apps that can aid you. (If the ones I suggested disagree with your -case.)

In the @weeklyOSM read about

and noticed that the #FitoTrack and #RunnerUp apps were missing, so I created the respective pages and then updated the wiki page.
It does help that I joined the editorial team, thus had the issue on my radar since Wednesday.
Weekly update of changes can be seen in the animation.

@rgmf @kr1s000 I am not aware of any other open-source app (for Android) having such a feature.
AAT has two hardcoded UIs and the rest only one (#FitoTrack and #RunnerUp).
