For those building the wmlive ISO images themselves, build sources wmlive-bookworm-12.9.1.tar.xz was uploaded to sourceforge. Notable changes:

* Switch to backport kernel version 6.12.9 for amd64 ISO.

* Add build-config/wmlive-opt/*/throttled-0.11.tar.xz into build tree.

Additionally, included helper packages wmlive-base and wmlive-installer have some bugs fixed.

I became addicted to #WindowMaker (aka #WMaker) it is amazing, you realize that something is amazing when you don't need any default setup to use it (like #Xfce4). I do not have enough words: it is sexy; slick; snappy; light; highly customizable; fast; intuitive; original; powerful.
The only issue is it doesn't speack GTK3 and perhaps QT5, the integration with the former is more painful than a kick on the jewels. We would need some genius that modernize it a little bit more to speak gtk3!

Despite #Ubuntu the #odroidxu4 worked surprisingly well... Yes of course Ubuntu has been annihilated and resembles more #Debian. The secret ingredient is the venerable #WindowMaker or #WMaker, it has some limitations though for instance I replaced #Thunderbird with #ClawsMail. :flan_strong:

Unfortunately the initial idea to use #NetBSD as daily driver shipwrecked in the oblivium. The partial support wasn't enough to squeeze out all the horsepower available... :flan_sad:

so i changed to tty with alt+f2, made `ps aux | grep wmaker` and got two wmaker processes, i needed the second: `wmaker --for-real=`, got it's pid. Now issued `kill -s SIGUSR1` that pid.

that reloads wmaker. every window stays at its workspacke. you don't notice any change.

i wanted to try two #webkit-gtk based #browser s - #surf and #luakit.

#apparently it's impossible ho compile even on #gentoo webkit-gtk without #pulseaudio now. #gnome team works hard to lock us on systemd and pulseaudio.

thank you, #redhat, thank you #gnome. i will stay with #wmaker & alsa & jack. I will not use #gnome, at least because it behaves more like proprietary software, imposing its conditions, rather than like a free software.
