The stick that the drop hangs from, fades away from focus towards the upper edge of the image.

Below and to the right parts of a dark brown decayed leaf can be seen, with the lighter veins partly detached from the darker leaf. only a small part of the leaf is in focus, with the rest fading away into a blur.

The background is dark with a few patches of earthy colours and some lighter patches where the damp reflects the light from the forest.
