#Arducam Pivistation 5 - Raspberry Pi 5 Camera Kit with Select Sensors, Lenses, and Pre-Installed Software

Woohoo, @arduino's multitouch #GIGA Display #Shield arrived just in time for #ArduinoDays2024! Can't wait to take advantage of the integrated #Arducam connector in my next project! 🤘📺🤘
Dummy13 opened my eyes to the fact that our printers can do high precision, tiny mating parts. I've been way too cautious in my designs.
Here's my new ArduCam (Raspberry Pi Camera compatible) enclosure. The side walls are 0.3mm, the walls around the M2 screw heads are 0.1875mm, and the clips above the other screw holes are 0.6mm at the tips. The two halves lock together nicely.
0.15mm layer height, Prusa MK4, generic PETG.

Alternatively, can #Arducam modules (the ones with three stacked boards, maybe?) be easily separated and laid flat, while maintaining interconnection?
D'oh!
Last night I was tidying up my office. I picked up a box of drill bits, totally forgetting that I'd taped my new Arducam to the side of it (gonna make a real camera mount Real Soon Now...). I actually ripped the end off the ribbon cable.
Yeah, this is a quality installation. The Pi's been taped to that table for a month now.
Meeting old friends for the first time in real life and making new ones at #MakerFaire #Shenzhen! Here's a few things that caught our eye! 🤘💗🤘 #Arducam #M5Stack #RetroComputing #MFSZ

Hello. Any advice on how to use an OV5647 with the raspberry pi to use opencv with it? I already tried many times and I keep having issues with moduleError not found
Cannot use picamera2

Feels almost like #PiDay has come early this year! Getting caught up on some @Raspberry_Pi product testing at the @makemagazine WFH labs! 🆕✨
#octopi with an #arducam has got a LONG way to go before its actually usable really.
1: octopi has an old kernel and old debian version, which makes everything work much less well
2: you need to get the kernel driver yourself AND arducam use a weird custom libcamera
3: the arducam mjpg streamer with libcamera support doesn't build because there's missing symbols in their libcamera
4: like holy balls why is this so hard, if my laptop cam can work OOTB then why the hell is this such a PAIN
I like the look of this #kickstarter from #arducam looks very handy for monitoring projects of various kinds. #ESP32 cam boards are limited (e.g. gpio) and often painful to use.
Wiring up cameras directly is error prone and fiddly.

Pienen kätevät Raspberry Pi -korttitietokoneet ovat aina tukeneet kameramoduuleja, mutta nyt Arducam on mennyt lisälaitteissa useamman askeleen pidemmälle.
Uusi 64 megapikselin kamera tuo korteille parhaimmillaan 9152 x 6944 pikseliä erottelevan kameran.
Raspberry Pi OS on vakaaseen Debian Linuxiin perustuva käyttöjärjestelmä Raspberry Pi -laitteille.

To play around with some #opencv and getting some better lenses, should I start off with C/CS-mount or m12 is fine?
Looking for some NDVI, as well as multi cam setups. Not on UAVs yet, but stationary/semi stationary (Bike)
considering getting #arducam and play around with imx417 and some global shutter stuff later.
Any opinions/pointers?
I am new to plant health monitoring, considering a poor man setup so far:
#arducam switchable IR Filter HQ camera,
openCV foo
small greenhouse in cupboard
Any suggestions for papers etc?
Any suggestions for equipment on a shoestring student budget?
Background: CS, with some openCV (segmentation medical, robotics, tof/stereo vision, flir on drones)
Stretch goal is to do Satellite image analysis, but small scale learning would be nice #babysteps
Anyone experience with #arducam?
Especially the switchable IR HQ cam with c mount looks somewhat nice.
