I just published a new version of the #DankLinux Workd Clock Plugin.
A Plugin for the DankBar allowing multiple clocks to show with reasonable settings and visuals.
- Show multiple clocks
- Use flags as labels
- Control Visibility
- Reorder
- Show icon only
- Cycle clocks
Future plans:
- Add weather report to each place
- Add a Desktop Widget
- Show the day offset
- Show the TZ code
- Track Daylight Saving Time
It is very nice to see how the #DankLinux plugins ecosystem is growing!
Unbelievable that I started this just because I wanted a multi timezone clock, and now we have 80+ Plugins.

After quite some time of my #niri ports existing for #crux they are all trying it out now. Word appears to be getting around that niri is legit. From there the next thing they ask is about #noctalia or #dms, both also in my ports collection.
I wonder what it’d take to create some hybrid SlackBuild/crux port thing. I don’t think my brain is ready for that.
OK, so I read that KaOS is dumping KDE (questionable motivation as #KDE #plasma itself doesn't depend on systemd…) and they are pondering #noctalia (https://github.com/noctalia-dev/noctalia-shell) and O-M-G! It looks so gorgeous! And it turns out to be based on #Quickshell (https://quickshell.org/) which is a toolkit with set of ready-made components for everything-your-desktop-needs based on #Qt #QtQuick and it looks so cool! 😍 And there is also #DMS #DankMaterialShell (https://github.com/AvengeMedia/DankMaterialShell) which also looks amazing! 😍

Inzwischen bietet auch #noctalia shell ein layout switcher widget an, per plugin.
Aber ein Killerfeature hat #dankmaterialshell was noctalia nicht hat: #danksearch ! 👍

I use both on different machines.
On #mangowc I use #dms because it has a widget to set the layout and you can place widgets on top above all windows.
About a month ago I switched away from using my own dotfiles for #niri in lieu of #dankmaterialshell. It might stem from me wanting to just use my machine instead of having to maintain my machine, but it’s been a very nice experience. The devs are working hard adding a ton of features to make a nice desktop environment, and there’s already a pretty in depth plugin ecosystem for adding more specific features. I’ve been enjoying it!
