#diday Frage: warum lese ich nichts über das #Fairphone als alternative Hardware?

Anyone know of the #fairphone folk are at #fosdem? There seems to be good #Linux based phone OS support on the #fairphone5, which they’re not selling any more, but nothing for the #fairphone6 ☹️

It would be great to hook them up with folk like #postmarketos to see if, together, they could get a currently phone, with a Linux based OS, available to the public.

En FP består ju av stora delar åkerbrukat material och delar.

KAN det då bli så att man kan få en mobil med extra dålig kamera pga återanvänd? Om det går lite hastigt till vid kollen av det återbrukade komponenterna och jag är en person med grov otur?

Alltså ett måndagsexemplar av en återbrukad mobil?

Min första smartphone var en #Fairphone 2. Den fungerar fortfarande helt okej efter 9 år, men jag tvingades köpa en ny #Fairphone6 (Murena /e/OS) i somras pga 3G avstängning.
Är jättenöjd.

Vu que je vais récupérer un nouveau téléphone tout neuf et comme je ne veux pas changer de ROM et dévérouiller le bootloader, vous savez comment enlever (ou à minima les désactiver) les apps non nécessaires ? Notamment dégager cette saloperie de Gemini 😡

What about #/e/OS ?
It's Android #FOSS without any Google services. The advantage is, that you can use most of the Android apps.

You can buy already famous devices like #Fairphone etc. preinstalled with #e/OS and more than 200 other devices are supported... where you can install it yourselfe. I use #Fairphone6 with #e/OS since almost 6 month and I am fully happy with it.

I don't plan #holidays in #US right now, but #DE press says, that I would be required to install an app for entering as a tourist?
I assume, that such an app would not run on my #Mobian #smartphone, so I would rent a #Fairphone or #Shiftphone for a week or two from @commownfr.
Still, requiring an app for entering a country does not sound like a #tourism booster to me.

Veo críticas a los teléfonos vendidos por Murena. Una de las quejas es que se supone que obligan a tener una cuenta de Murena asociada al teléfono, la cual te da acceso a una nube para alojar archivos, correo, etc. Como se hace con la cuenta de Google.

Pero no es obligatorio iniciar sesión al encender el teléfono. Asi evitas usar una cuenta de Murena si no quieres.

Ja, diese Masche von #UPS kenne ich leider zu Genüge. Eine Lieferung durfte meine Tochter im 10 km entfernten Depot abholen, weil angeblich zweimal niemand zu Hause war - was definitiv nicht stimmte.
Schade, dass #fairphone und #murena keine zuverlässigere Logistik-Alternative anbieten.
